Nutrition guidance to improve overall health

Build MS-Supportive Nutrition Habits

With fad diets, internet misinformation, and outdated protocols, nutrition can be confusing. Our Registered Dietitian is here to help you cut through the noise through collaborative, individualized sessions and formulate an evidence-based nutrition plan specific to your needs.

Nutrition and lifestyle changes can help with supporting overall health, managing fatigue, and may lower the risk of MS comorbidities like heart disease and type II diabetes. Our dietitian, Julia, will work with you to understand which foods help you feel your best. This may include promoting a healthy gut microbiome, reducing inflammation, and helping you maintain your ideal body composition.

During your dietetic appointment, you will learn practical food habits that fit into your everyday life.

FAQ

What happens at an appointment with Julia?

During an individualized evaluation, you will be discussing your past medical history, present concerns, current eating behaviors, and your overall relationship with food. Collaboratively, goals and plans will be formulated to support your individual needs. Once your plan is in place, ongoing support is available to monitor progress and make tweaks as needed.

What’s the difference between Dietetics and Naturopathic Medicine?

A Registered Dietitian (RD) specializes in medical nutrition therapy and food science related to patient care. RDs help develop meal-planning and dietary strategies with a focus on nutrition education.

A Naturopathic Doctor (ND) specializes in holistic patient care including physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors. NDs develop treatment protocols that may include dietary changes, supplements, and herbal medicine.

Will you give me a meal plan?

Meal plans can be provided if it makes sense for your specific needs and lifestyle. Everyone has individualized preferences, which will be taken into account during your session.

I have food allergies/intolerances. Can you still work with me?

Of course! RDs have experience working with vegetarian, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free patients, as well as those with a variety of food allergies, intolerances or textural needs.
