Grand Rounds

On Wednesday, May 9, 2012,  Dr. Timothy Vollmer, from the Rocky Mountain MS Center, spoke at Grand Rounds on Novel Immune Targets in MS and Treatment Implications.  All the researchers from MSRCNY were in attendance as well as the clinical staff from the IMSMP.

How did the trial get approved?

ECTRIMS

The annual European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) meeting is taking place in Amsterdam, beginning October 19th. Dr. Sadiq as well as several members of the research lab will be attending and presenting eight posters. Stay tuned to the news feed for late breaking ECTRIMS updates over the next week.

Grand Rounds: Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Dr. Violaine Harris spoke at Grand Rounds this week. Her topic was on 'Cerebrospinal Fluid Biomarkers in MS'. There is an urgent need for biomarkers in multiple sclerosis (MS) in order to better predict and evaluate disease progression. We have focused on the discovery of soluble proteins in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) which have the potential as biomarkers for progressive MS and therapeutic response. Using a proteomic approach, we have discovered and validated a number of novel biomarkers in the CSF of MS patients.
