Armistead D. Williams, III, M.D.

Dr. Armistead D. Williams is a board-certified neurologist at the IMSMP. He received his B.A. with majors in biology and studio art at the University of Virginia. He received his MD and performed his medical internship at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He trained at one of the nation's foremost neurology centers, The Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia University Medical Center, where he was awarded the 2005 Daniel Sciarra Patient Care Award for outstanding patient care and humanism during his residency.  He has published research on peripheral nerve regeneration and gene therapy delivery. In June 2007, Dr. Williams completed a two-year neuroimmunology fellowship at the IMSMP. His clinical interest is in comprehensive MS care. Dr. Williams also chairs the committees on electronic medical records as well as our annual patient symposium.
